Buddy's 90th!

He was definitely the informal "leader" of the many engineers and announcers whose careers moved through the halls of Broadcast House....and some even referred to him as the "Mother" of the WTOP staffers, our much loved Buddy Belote celebrated his 90th birthday last Sunday at a party given by his 3 daughters.

 Melissa, Barbara and Jenny graciously welcomed approximately 50 guests to the event at the Springfield United Methodist Church, who braved dire warnings of Hurricane Irene damage that never materialized.

Alexandria Harmonizers

The Alexandria Harmonizers, a locally famous barbershop quartet honored their former member with tunes of the past and a rousing  HAPPY BIRTHDAY rendition,
